- Charlie Puth's mom Debbie Puth, worked at MTV as one of the first Video DJ's during the 80s.
- Charlie Puth originally wrote his breakout hit 'See You Again' for the Fast and Furious soundtrack about his friend who passed away in a motorcycle crash. He wrote the song in eleven minutes on the beach on the Jersey Shore. Chris Brown almost sang the hit in the final version before Charlie's vocals were chosen to be used at the last minute.
- Charlie Puth has what musicians call perfect pitch, where he can hear notes and knows what they are or can recreate them just by listening to them.
- After learning piano at the age of 4, he went to study at Berklee College of Music on a full scholarship, graduating in 2013 with a degree in music production and engineering.
- Charlie Puth doesn't just write his own songs, he wrote the hit song 'Stay' for Justin Bieber and The Kid LAROI.
